Camp Lakehill: Artists Ignite!

Instructor: Pike, Hopper, Cummings

Location:          Lower School Art Room

Dates offered: June 23-27

Time:                9am-3pm

Entering Grade: 2-5

Class size:         10 min/ 20 max

Fee:                  $350 plus $40 activity fee

Unleash your inner artist in this fun and creative summer camp.  Daily activities will introduce students to artists such as Georgia O’Keefe, Vincent Van Gogh, and Frida Kahlo.  Using the artists’ techniques and styles, students will create their own art pieces.  We will also bring drama and music into the class in the afternoons and will watch a play on Friday.  Bring your lunch, your imagination and come along for a week of fine arts!! 

 

“Scrapbooking 101 and Beyond”

Instructor: Elizabeth Schmitt

Location:          Rm 110

Dates offered: June 30-July 3

Time:                9am-12pm

Entering Grade:5-12

Class size:         2-12

Fee:                  $175

Course Description: Take advantage of Mrs. Schmitt’s years of scrapbooking experience. Learn to crop, matte, and journal your photos to preserve your memories forever.. Try your hand at hammering in some eyelets or punching out some brads. P.S. Scrapbooking isn’t just for girls; boys have memories, too!

Students will need to bring their own photos, scissors and acid-free adhesive. Contact Mrs. Schmitt at eschmitt@lakehillprep.org to get a recommended supply list or for help obtaining supplies. (Private lessons and classes are also available as Mrs. Schmitt’s schedule permits.)
