Foundations Magic Camp Instructor: John Trout Location: Room 110 Dates offered: June 16-20 Time: 1pm-4pm Entering Grades: 4-7th Class size: 4-8 Fee: $175 This camp introduces students to the basic rules for the collectible card game, Magic: The Gathering, and is appropriate for kids who have never played Magic or have just barely begun to play. Magic is a strategy card game set in a fantasy world like that of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. Cards that your child keeps are included in the cost of the camp! Tournament Magic Instructor: John Trout Location: Room 110 Dates offered: Session I June 9-13 Session II July 7-11 Time: Session I 9am -12pm Session II 1-4pm Entering Grades:5 and up (experienced players only) Class size: 4-12 Fee: $175 This “masters” level camp for the collectible trading card game, Magic: The Gathering prepares students for an off-campus competative tournament. Students will discuss tournament strategies and will receive a budget for purchasing additional single cards to improve their decks. Students should have substantial prior experience before joining this camp. Intermediate Magic Camp: Lorwyn Instructor: John Trout Location: Room 110 Dates offered: June 23-27 Time: 9am-12 pm Entering Grades: 4 and up Class size: 4-12 Fee: $175 This intermediate level camp for the collectible trading card game, Magic: The Gathering explores the cards and game mechanics of the Lorwyn and Morningtide sets. Appropriate for students who have taken a “Foundations Camp” or who are otherwise familiar with the rules of the game. As always, students keep their cards! Intermediate Magic Camp: Shadowmoor Instructor: John Trout Location: Room 110 Dates offered: July 14-18 Time: 1-4pm Entering Grades: 4 and up Class size: 4-12 Fee: $175 This intermediate level camp for the collectible trading card game, Magic: The Gathering explores the cards and game mechanics of the Shadowmoor set. Appropriate for students who have taken a “Foundations Camp” or who are otherwise familiar with the rules of the game. As always, students keep their cards!
