Welcome from the Headmaster

It takes one visit to see that Lakehill heartily embraces its mission to make the most of every mind. Warm and friendly, yet challenging, Lakehill demonstrates its commitment by providing the individual attention students need to excel in a college preparatory curriculum. Lakehill’s tradition of service and excellence comes from its ability to cultivate a balance among academic excellence, personal growth, and recognition of responsibility towards others.

Lakehill students know the satisfaction of meeting their personal goals. Through accelerated core academics as well as electives and extracurricular activities, Lakehill nurtures confident, purposeful individuals prepared to make significant contributions wherever their choices lead them. All Lakehill graduates attend college, collectively earning one to two million dollars  in academic scholarships yearly. Recent college acceptances include Amherst , Cornell, Northwestern, NYU, SMU, Stanford , Texas A & M, and the University of Texas . Lakehill prepares students not only for college success but also for life beyond the classroom through a required career internship program, allowing seniors to explore a field they hope to pursue professionally.

Equally important, students experience the rewards of working together. Theater, music, athletics, cheerleading, publications, and a variety of student clubs and organizations encourage collaboration. From such partnerships students learn not only to respect and support one another but also to recognize the dynamics of leadership, negotiation, and group effort.

Beyond teamwork and self-development, Lakehill students recognize their responsibility towards others. Community service is fundamental to the spirit of the school. As a UNICEF Emissary School, Lakehill touches the world with its contribution. Closer to home, our students assist organizations and individuals by providing funds, supplies, and labor. On campus, upperclassmen interact with younger schoolmates as mentors and leaders, demonstrating commitment to their school community.

I encourage you to explore the opportunities Lakehill has to offer your child.

Sincerely,

Roger L. Perry

Headmaster
