Lakehill Preparatory School considers performing arts to be an integral component in a child’s education. All students have opportunities for learning experiences in music and drama. Through performance opportunities, students develop self-assurance, cooperative and leadership skills, appreciation for other cultures, and self-esteem. Students are guided toward becoming adults who have respect for and knowledge about the arts. To this end, students are exposed to performances of the highest quality in theater, music, and dance.
Lakehill’s Lower School students participate in music three times a week and perform throughout the year, including Grandparents Day, the Winter Program, and Spring Fling which includes a fabulous art show of Lower School students’ projects created in their Art classes. In addition, fourth grade students perform the popular musical, Shh…We’re Writing The Constitution, a clever and fun look into the Continental Congress’ writing and signing of our Constitution.
