Cross Country – Varsity

Cross Country – Varsity

Interested Upper School students are welcome to join the Cross Country team. Open to boys and girls, the team meets three to four mornings per week and practice begins in early August. Once school starts, students practice before school and run in and around Lakewood and White Rock Lake.

The team will compete in multiple races on open courses against various private and public schools. The schedule is challenging and requires discipline and determination while offering a fun and encouraging experience for all athletes. Athletes not participating in other fall sports are encouraged to join the Cross Country team not only to compete but also for conditioning in anticipation of winter athletic programs. Lakehill has claimed three individual State Championships in the past eight years. In 2019, the team set several Lakehill records at the TAPPS State meet. This includes an overall team standing record, the fastest 5K time recorded in school history, and the second fastest two-mile time in school history.

Practices will follow the current guidelines set forth by TAPPS and UIL. Locker room use will be limited.

Athletic competitions will be governed by current TAPPS and UIL guidelines.

Check the RenWeb calendar for up-to-date Athletic Schedules.
