Fine Arts
Students are
encouraged to choose at least one Fine Arts elective from among
the following: |

Painting
A One-semester course devoted to
painting, using acrylic, watercolors, and oils. Areas of
concentration include self-portraits, landscape, and still life.
One semester, 1/2 credit.

Drawing
A One-semester course devoted to
drawing, using pencil, charcoal, and ink. Areas of
concentration include life drawing, landscape (1- and 2-point
perspective), and still life. One semester, 1/2 credit.

Sculpture/Printmaking A
One-semester course devoted to sculpture and printmaking.
mediums involved include ceramics constructivism, papier-mâché,
serigraph, etching, and block carving. One semester, 1/2

Computer Graphics - Photography
A One-semester course devoted to
computer graphics and digital photography using Adobe Photoshop
5, Corel Photo-Painting, Kais Supergoo, Painter Classic, and
Corel Draw. One semester, 1/2 credit. |

Art
History This lecture class
presents the history of art from pre-historic to Post-Modernism.
Students will be tested over lecture and textbook material.
many visual references will be used to enhance the learning

AP Studio
Art
This course will address three
major concerns that are constant in the teaching of art: (1) a
sense of quality in a student's work; (2) the student's
concentration on a particular visual interest or problem; (3)
the student's need for a breadth of experience in the formal;
technical, and expressive means f the artist. All students
will create a portfolio for submission to the AP College Board.
The AP program in Studio Art is
for highly motivates students who are seriously interested in
the study of art and involves significant commitment. all
AP Studio Art students must have had pervious training in art
and have the instructor's permission before enrollment.

Choir
Choir is offered to all students
who enjoy singing. Both beginners and experienced members
are welcome. choir is a fun way for students to gain
confidence in their voices and develop their vocal and musical
abilities. the repertoire is varied and includes classical
music and show tunes, as well as other styles of music.
the course culminates in an end of year dinner concert.
Other performance opportunities are offered throughout the year
including assemblies, Baccalaureate, and the ISAS Fine Arts
Festival. Full Year, 1 credit.
