Community Service

Lakehill Preparatory School students are involved in Community Service from Kindergarten through Grade 12.  Through community outreach we teach students to embrace a spirit of volunteerism in the hopes of fostering a life-long passion for service.

Throughout the school year, Lower School students are involved in many of Lakehill's community service projects. Through bake sales for the SPCA, teddy bear drives for Parkland Hospital, book drives for local schools, and many other projects, students are encouraged at every grade to give back to our community. Other inititives include performing at local nursing homes, preschools and neighborhood fun runs, as well as organizing canned food drives and writing letters to soldiers overseas.

As a UNICEF Emissary School, Lakehill students learn about the global community. Through their particiption in the annual "Trick or Treat" drive for UNICEF, Lakehill students touch the world with their annual contributions.

Lower School students are actively involved in Lakehill's Recycling Program by routinely collecting and recycling various items. Students also actively participate in the Adopt-A-Shoreline program at White Rock Lake, volunteering monthly to preserve this neighborhood treasure. These programs educate our students about the world's natural resources and the benefits of using them in a sustainable manner.
