We are excited to be offering camps this summer at both of our campuses: the Main Campus at 2720 Hillside Drive and the Alice and Erle Nye Family Environmental Science Center (ESC) at 7401 Ferguson Road (click here for directions to the ESC from our main campus). Bus service to the ESC and back is provided for students taking advantage of Before-care or After-care, and for students who have a mix of camps at the Main Campus and the ESC Campus each week. See the "Weekly Summer camp and Bus Schedule" below for more details.
Complimentary Before-care and After-care
Complementary Before-care service is offered from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. daily. Complimentary After-care is offered from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. daily. Before-care and After-care are offered at the Main Campus only. Students attending camps at the ESC who wish to take advantage of Before-care and After-care should be dropped off at and picked up from the Main Campus. See the "Weekly Summer camp and Bus Schedule" below for more details.

Camps at the ESC

If your child is attending an ESC camp, please be aware of bus schedules, which can vary greatly week by week, to determine if you may drop off at the Main Campus and rely on bus transport to the ESC campus or if you will need to drop off at the ESC directly. There is also the possibility of a more rigorous dress code after the Monday of the camp if the camp will include wilderness hikes (see below).

Summer Camps at the Main Campus
Drop-off and pick-up locations - Main Campus
The drop-off and pick-up location for all camps at the Main Campus will be the Lakehill playground. In the event of inclement weather, students should be dropped off at the Main Entrance.
Dress Code - Main Campus
Though the dress code will be relaxed for Lakehill Summer Camps, we ask that parents help their children choose clothing that is modest and appropriate for a school atmosphere. Jeans, shorts, and t-shirts are allowed. Please ensure that your child is wearing recess-appropriate shoes in order to participate in outdoor breaks and activities. Please see the Summer Camps at the ESC section below for more details on dress code at the ESC.
What Else to Bring - Main Campus
Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to Lakehill Summer Camps. Sunblock applied before coming to camp and/or hats to wear when outside are also recommended.
Lunch - Main Campus
Students who will be on campus between noon and 1:00 p.m. must bring a lunch with drink each day. Lunches will not be refrigerated and microwaves are not available. Campers will eat with camp mates under the supervision of camp instructors. Lunch will be held in the cafeteria.
Summer Camps at the ESC
For the safety of all students, there will be no students allowed at the ESC before 8:50 a.m. or after 4:10 p.m. Any students in our care at those times will be at the Main Campus for Before-care or After-care.
Before-care and After-care - ESC
Before-care and After-care are not offered at the ESC. Students participating in our complimentary Before-Care and After-care must be dropped off at and picked up from the Main Campus, and will be bused to and from the ESC at the appropriate times. See the bus schedule and other details below.
ESC Bus Schedules
Because each week's camp and transportation needs are a little different, each week has its own separate bus schedule. Some weeks will have two bus trips per day, some will have none, and the times will vary from week to week. See the "Weekly Summer Camp and Bus Schedule" below for each week's unique bus schedule.
Related Details and Clarifications
Students enrolled in a Morning Session camp at the ESC must be dropped off at the ESC if arriving after the 8:45 a.m. bus time.
Students enrolled in an Afternoon Session Camp at the ESC who are not enrolled in a Morning Session Camp must be dropped off at the ESC no earlier than 12:50 p.m.
After the Afternoon Session, parents intending to pick up their children from the ESC must do so by 4:10 p.m.
All students remaining on the ESC past 4:10 p.m. will be shuttled back to the Main Campus for complimentary After-care.
Students enrolled in a Morning and an Afternoon Session at the ESC will have lunch at the ESC in the Great Hall. All other full-day students will have lunch at the Main Campus. If your child will be participating in only a morning or an afternoon session, determine which campus and at what time drop-off will be best by consulting the bus schedule for that week.
Drop-off and pick-up locations - ESC
The drop-off and pick-up location for all camps at the ESC will be the building entrance at the top of the winding sidewalk near the stone-circled oak tree.
Safety is the most important aspect of Summer Camps at the ESC. Poison ivy, poison oak, biting insects, and venomous snakes are all natural inhabitants of the Lakehill ESC, and students attending camps there will learn how to tread safely in their habitat. On the Monday of each ESC camp, instructors will send home a flyer indicating whether your child's camp will require this elevated dress code. ESC camps will not require this dress code unless the camp includes trips into the woods. If a camp requires the elevated dress code:
Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times.
Full-length pants or jeans (not shorts) must be worn. Campers' legs and ankles must be covered.
Long-sleeved shirts that can be put on over other clothes are also recommended for excursions into the woods.
Parents of students who are out of dress code will be called to bring the appropriate clothing or to pick up their child.
What Else to Bring - ESC
Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to Lakehill Summer Camps. Sunblock and insect repellent are highly recommended (and should be applied copiously). Don't forget respect for nature and a safe and positive attitude!
