Community Service

Lakehill Preparatory School students are involved in Community Service from kindergarten through Grade 12.  Through community outreach, we teach students to embrace a sprit of volunteerism in the hopes of fostering a life-long passion for service.

Throughout the school year, Upper School students are involved in many of Lakehill’s community service projects.  Specifically, community service initiatives involving Upper School students include volunteering at special events for preschools, organizing the annual Holiday Luncheon for senior citizens, helping at the Dallas Women’s Foundation charity benefit, and tutoring younger students.

Additionally, as a UNICF Emissary School, our students learn about the global community. Through their participation in our annual “A Trick or Treat” drive for UNICEF, Lakehill students touch the world with their annual contributions.

Furthermore, students are actively involved in Lakehill’s Recycle Program by routinely collecting and recycling various items. This Program educated our students about the world’s natural resources and the benefits of using them in a sustainable manner. Lakehill is an official Adopt-a-Shoreline sponsor of For The Love of The Lake and particpates in group clean-ups every month. Lakehill was selected as the Adopt-A-Shoreline Volunteer Group of the year for 2010-11.
