Lakehill Weight Room Transformation Project
Giving for the wellness of our students and community
We Did It!
We’re celebrating the next steps toward Warrior Wellness – thanks to you.
We are thrilled to share that we have surpassed our $200,000 goal for the Weight Room Transformation Project!
Thanks to your generosity and commitment to wellness for all Lakehill students, we’re already moving from vision to reality as work begins to transform the space – bringing us one step closer to a weight room that reflects the dedication, care, and ambition of our students.
Together, you’ve demonstrated what’s possible when the Lakehill community rallies around a shared vision. We can’t wait to share progress updates and milestones as the work continues in the months ahead.
Thank you for investing in a project that will have a meaningful and lasting impact on our students. Go Warriors!

FAQs
Will any student have access to the weight room for general exercise and wellness?
We expect that all students will ultimately have opportunities to utilize the weight room. Updates like new equipment, new floors, and a layout that prioritizes safety will help us incorporate use of the space more effectively for student-athletes and consider how we can make the space accessible for students outside of athletics classes and extracurricular sport practices. The changes you’ve seen to the ‘26-’27 academic schedule help support this goal. While it may not happen all at once, please know that this is a key goal in reviving the weight room space.
Who is managing this project?
Dr. Chalfin will be the primary project manager in collaboration with select members of the administrative and athletics teams. Future projects of this nature will be managed by Evelyn Tan, when she has fully transitioned into her role as Lakehill’s Director of Operations.
How will the space be maintained?
While we expect all those who use and enjoy the weight room to feel pride in keeping the space clean and organized, it is the ultimate responsibility of our Warrior Athletics coaches and staff to ensure the weight room is appropriately maintained on a daily basis. Dr. Chalfin and Athletic Director Coach Cayme will set staff expectations so that the space is kept clean and organized at all times.
Will transformation work interrupt my student’s athletics experience this spring?
We are working hard to prevent any disruptions for athletes currently participating in spring sports. We may, based on the availability of vendors, need to temporarily restrict access to the weight room during the season for a brief period. These changes will be communicated with coaches, students, and families in a timely fashion and will be as minimal as possible.
How are you planning for the future maintenance needs of new equipment and flooring?
We know that well-used equipment and athletic flooring will eventually require repairs and maintenance, and that there is a cost to this maintenance. We will thoughtfully consider potential maintenance in the budget cycle of a given year, and we will steward any remaining funds to establish a Weight Room Maintenance Fund restricted for this purpose and to help handle unforeseen maintenance needs that may arise. This is why your support for this project, at any level, is so critical for both completing the transformation and caring for the space for years to come.
