Ways to Give
Credit Card
Gifts to the Warrior Fund can be made online through our secure giving page. You’ll be able to make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift, and you’ll have the opportunity to share whether your gift is in honor or memory of someone special. Lakehill accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Additionally, Lakehill accepts gifts of cash via electronic transfer. To learn more about how to make your gift, download these instructions. You can be in touch with Mary Kate Katz for more information.
Check
Checks should be made payable to “Warrior Fund.” If applicable, we’d love for you to include your child’s name and class year or your Lakehill graduation year in the memo section. You can mail your check to:
Lakehill Preparatory School
Warrior Fund
2720 Hillside Dr.
Dallas, TX 75214
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of securities, including stocks, mutual fund shares, or other appreciated assets, can be a great tax-efficient method for making a gift to Lakehill. In most cases, you can take a tax deduction for the full market value of your gift and avoid capital gains tax.
For more information about how to successfully make a gift of unrestricted, publicly traded securities, please download these instructions. You can be in touch with Mary Kate Katz with any questions.
Matching Gifts
Ask your employer if they’ll match your annual contribution to the Warrior Fund! Many companies offer a matching gift program, which means your gift to support Lakehill students goes twice as far. Check in with your company’s human resources department to determine if your Warrior Fund gift is eligible for a match.
Donor Advised Funds
Use your tax-deductible donor-advised fund (DAF) to make a gift to the Warrior Fund. Typically, donors will visit their DAF portal and request that their custodian issue us a grant. Your administrator will usually mail the check to the primary address they have on file for Lakehill, or your administrator may send us the funds electronically. Either way, please be in touch with Mary Kate for the information your administrator will need from us, and to make us aware of this forthcoming gift, so that we can ensure that it is properly allocated and designated.
Email Mary Kate with the following information:
- Name of DAF administrator
- Amount of the forthcoming check
- Confirmation of designation to The Warrior Fund
- Date of distribution request
Alternatively, you can fill out our DAF giving form instead.
Please note that gifts made through a donor-advised fund can take time to process. If you’d like to make your gift before the calendar year-end deadline of December 31, please plan to initiate your transfer in November or early December.
