Giving at Lakehill
The Warrior Fund
The Warrior Fund is the foundation of Lakehill’s financial health. Tuition at Lakehill, like most private schools, does not cover all the educational costs for our children. Donations to the Warrior Fund should always be considered first, as they go directly to the operating budget to bridge the tuition income shortfall. Contributions to the Warrior Fund provide support for a variety of operating expenses, including faculty salaries, academics, arts, and athletics, to name only a few. Every gift, no matter its size, makes a difference and allows us to continue to provide support for Lakehill students and faculty. Gifts can be made to The Warrior Fund at any time during the year and are tax-deductible.
The Endowment Fund
The time to invest in Lakehill’s Future is today.
A healthy Endowment distinguishes the most successful schools. Why? A greater endowment allows the support of programs and people that create nationally recognized schools, while at the same time, allowing them to remain innovative and agile as opportunities arise. While it is important to maintain healthy annual giving from year to year, a stronger endowment will increase the flexibility with which we can approach educational innovation. Your gift to the Endowment is preserved in perpetuity with community funds pooled for maximum benefit and invested to achieve long-term growth.
The Opening Doors Capital Fund
The Opening Doors Capital Fund is an effort to complete the funding of recent expansion and renovation of the original Lakehill Preparatory School building. Over the past four and one-half decades in the facility, Lakehill has provided quality private education for talented children.
In order to continue the Lakehill standard of quality private education, construction was recently completed to renovate 8,000 square feet of existing space and add 16,000 square feet of new space to the original building. This vital effort produced new lab spaces for science, writing, and computer science, as well as an art studio. New classrooms, meeting and event rooms, administrative offices, and bathrooms provide essential infrastructure upgrades. A dramatic 5,000 square foot inner courtyard offers outdoor classroom and performance space.
Please consider Opening Doors of opportunity for our current and future students by making your tax-deductible gift today.
Parent Faculty Club
Lakehill is fortunate to have a well-organized and active Parent Faculty Club. This group provides incredible support by donating their time, talents, and resources to virtually every aspect of our school throughout the year. It is extremely important to Lakehill that the fundraising efforts of the PFC be successful.
The group has two large-scale fundraisers each year. Trek for Tech is a Fun Run and sanctioned 5K in the fall that raises money to provide for our school’s technology needs. The PFC Auction is a Gala Event in the spring that provides a majority of the money that the PFC gives each year to support the school.
Donor Designated Gifts
Donor Designated Gifts may also be made at any time throughout the year. Tax-deductible gifts may be given to support specific areas, departments, or programs within Lakehill Preparatory School, such as Student Scholarships or the Computer Science Department.
The most meaningful Donor Designated Gifts are often made through Planned Giving or Estate Planning. The Office of Development is experienced in all aspects of Planned Giving and is available to work with your financial and tax planning professionals.
