Lower School K-4th

Philosophy

Lakehill believes that students in a close-knit community of learners acquire strong academic skills, develop solid decision-making and problem-solving techniques, and are guided into becoming citizens who are respectful of others and strive to make the world a better place.

Lakehill offers a child-centered curriculum that builds a solid foundation for future success. Modern educational best practices in academics, social-emotional learning, technology, physical education, and the arts educate the whole child to promote a life-long love of learning.

Students work both independently and cooperatively while pursuing an academic program that is challenging and motivating. The curriculum for Lower School progresses from developmental to more complex skills, leading to Middle and Upper School programs designed for college entrance.

Lower School classes are enriched with specialized teachers in Spanish, music, art, physical education, computer technology, and library. Lower School students also benefit from a wide variety of clubs, extracurricular sports and activities, and community service opportunities.
